A proud Bidjara women, passionate, enthusiastic and energised practitioner, with a professional background of over 25 years in the Community development sector in Local Government, Aboriginal Health and Not for Profit organisations, currently embracing and thriving in managing and building my own business of Yimba Yumba, in part incorporating Wayapa Wuurrk
Through career and life experiences I continually see the damage, trauma, identity crisis, and health impacts caused by living in this ‘modern’ world as we’ve left behind and detached from the thousands of years that our peoples had lived in harmony with mother nature.
Wayapa was introduced to me a number of years ago whilst working within the maternity area of the Aboriginal Health sector, I recall the feeling that resonated through me during that first session- a familiar yet intangible connection , a sense of knowing, belonging and of been ‘home’– I knew intuitively whatever ‘this’ practice was, it had awoken me at the core and this experience had to be shared .
In March 2017, I was blessed to successfully complete the 2nd Wayapa Diploma Course.
I know share my Wayapa practice with Government, Health and Educational organisations, community groups and individuals, having a focus towards the Health, Early years and Primary school sectors
To book your next session or for further information call me on 0428 393 575 401 765 or email me at yimbayumba@outlook.com – I look forward to Wayapa sharing with you.
