Wayapa for me was life changing from the first time I experienced it. I was never comfortable with Yoga, Meditation or other modalities. I never felt the relaxation that others spoke of. Wayapa gave me the connection, the relaxation, a way to relieve stress, …..being Mindful…..not Mind Full. …..and a new respect for the environment.
I live in Yarrawonga NE Victoria, so blessed with a beautiful environment, lake, river, bush etc.
The practice of Wayapa combines earth mindfulness, narrative meditation and movement in a series of 14 elements to teach participants the importance of connecting to the earth and nature for holistic wellness.
Wayapa brings a new way of thinking, it will awaken your indigenous soul!! We all have one and we all lived in harmony with Mother Earth at one point in our past ancestry, as we evolved we lost the connection.
Through Wayapa you will learn to reconnect the disconnect you feel in life.
You will learn through Aboriginal eyes, the energy connection to the earth and to the spirit in a way that is easy to understand for any age or physical capacity.
You will add the Earth Connection to you mind, body, spirit connection.
You will feel more connected to, and respect the traditional lands you walk, live, play and work on every day.
You will feel a strong sense of belonging and desire to change how you and your family live and care for the earth.
For Non- Indigenous people it will provide an opportunity to be immersed in culture to understand Connection to Country and Community, Aboriginal way!
For Indigenous people, Wayapa provides an easy way to reconnect with or to continue practicing culture everyday whilst enjoying the holistic benefits of it.
Wayapa Wuurrk is the only known indigenous based wellness discipline that is certified by the International Institute for Complimentary Therapies.
