Wayapa is an Earth-centred sequence of movements honouring the Elements of Nature and the universal aspects that bring meaning to Human life.
The movements themselves have, in part, arisen from Indigenous dance and ceremonial gestures. They are gentle but specific, and are done according to one’s own capacities. They are not difficult or strenuous.
During this class, Tresh Pearce will help you to understand the elements and why we honour them, and their associated movements. You will be guided by Tresh through the sequence of movements. Once learnt, they can then be done from a wheelchair, a bed, visualised, or as is most often, from a standing position. As a daily honouring practice it takes between 15 and 20 minutes.
